The first Confucian classroom in North or South America established in Medford, Oregon at St. Mary High School in 2008
Mt Hood and Mt Lushan in Jiangxi Province became Sister Mountains in October 2009
Oregon was the first state in the U.S. to pass legislation to expand Mandarin education in all public schools (2010)
In 2013 the Oregon China Sister State Relations Council was established with three subchapters – Oregon-Fujian Sister State Association (OFSSA), Oregon –Tianjin Sister Relations Association and Southern Oregon China Connection (SOCC)
In 2016 Crater Lake National Park became the Sister National Park to Fujian Province’s Mount Wuyi – a UNESCO Heritage site.
